Original exhibits tell the history of aviation as well as an airship technique of the last 100 years.
Civil aviation and the war deployment of airships are being presented here.
Especially impressive is the replica of an airship gondola of a navy airship. It gives you the opportunity to see the details and the composition of such a gondola.
Schütte-Lanz-Luftschiff S.L.II
The 1:10 model of the Schütte-Lanz-Luftschiff S.L.II makes the Aeronauticum in Nordholz even to the owner of a world record in the 'Guiness-Book of Records'.
Because with a total length of 14,4m this airship model is the biggest in the world.
A part of German history lives here
Former chancellor Helmut Kohl flew with the VFW 614 to the signing of the unification of Germany to Berlin-Schönefeld.
Also Helmut Schmidt and Richard von Weizäcker used this airplane for business trips.
Sightseeing of this plane is possible on weekends at 11am and 3pm.
